District Collector Pamela Satpathy held a review meeting on Tuesday regarding the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana in Karimnagar. The scheme was introduced by the Central government to provide financial security to artisans and caste workers. The Collector emphasized that eligible individuals should take advantage of this scheme.
The scheme aims to assist individuals belonging to traditional professions such as Vishwakarma, Dobhi, Naiyi Brahmin, Potter, Sculptors, Goldsmiths, Vaddera, Mera, Medari, Uppari, Mochi, and others. These individuals will receive assistance for tools and can avail a financial aid of Rs 15,000 for the purchase of industrial tools along with a certificate and ID card.
Through the PM Vishwakarma Yojana scheme, eligible individuals will also be eligible for a Rs 3 lakh enterprise development loan with a 5 percent interest rate, provided in two installments. Additionally, they can earn an incentive of one rupee per month for every 100 digital transactions.
To apply for the scheme, young men and women over the age of 18 can visit the Common Service Centre and submit their Aadhaar, Ration Card, PAN Card, mobile number, and bank details.
