Telangana minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has been admitted to the hospital due to a minor illness. He has been suffering from a sore throat since the time of the election campaign. As his condition worsened, he was taken to Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda, Hyderabad.
The infection in his throat is a result of participating in the election campaign and giving continuous speeches, combined with the cold weather. The doctors who examined him assured that the infection is mild and there is no need to worry.
On Tuesday, Venkat Reddy went to Delhi and submitted his resignation letter as MP to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. He also requested the chairman of the National Highway Authority of India to undertake the expansion of national highways in Telangana. Following his return to Hyderabad, he was admitted to the hospital.
