The State government of Hyderabad plans to develop the entire river Musi stretch as a hub for economic growth and job creation. This growth center will be developed along the Musi from its beginning to the end within Greater Hyderabad limits.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy suggests developing the entire Musi catchment area as an economic growth center and tourist attraction.

To achieve this, authorities have been directed to create comprehensive plans for constructing bridges, commercial shopping complexes, amusement parks, hawker zones, and pathways along the Musi. These developments will be done through a public-private partnership.

The Chief Minister also emphasizes the need for sewage treatment plants in necessary areas to reduce pollution in the Musi and prevent sewage from flowing into the river. Additionally, measures should be taken to ensure purified water flows in the river, and check dams should be constructed to maintain the proper water level.
