Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking for assistance for the people affected by cyclonic storm Michaung. Naidu stated that the storm had impacted 15 districts in Andhra Pradesh, causing damage to crops in over 22 lakh acres. He also mentioned the loss of six lives during the cyclone.
Naidu estimated the crop loss to be around Rs 10,000 crore and reported that approximately 770 km of roads were severely damaged. The cyclone also affected the drinking water, irrigation, electricity, and communication sectors. Naidu emphasized that not only the agriculture sector, but aqua farmers were also affected by the storm. He requested that central teams visit the state to assess the extent of the damage.
