    Two lives were lost in Khammam district due to cyclone Michaung. N Pulla Rao and Lakshmi died when a wall collapsed in CheruvuMadaram village in Nelakondapalli under Palair.

    In Kothagudem district, there was heavy rainfall in various areas. Aswaraopeta Mandal received the highest precipitation with 310mm, followed by Chandrugonda at 308mm. Dhammapet, Annapureddypally, and Kothagudem mandals also had significant rainfall, with 260mm.

    The cyclone affected paddy fields and caused the loss of 40 sheep in Bhimavaram in Aswapuram Mandal. The Kinnerasani project opened two gates to release water into the Godavari in response to the cyclone. The heavy rains also disrupted coal production at the Singareni Collieries Company.

    Transportation in Kothagudem district was severely affected by the downpour. Roads and bridges in Dhammapet, Aswaraopet, Sujatha Nagar, Julurpad, Aswapuram, and Mulkalpalimandals were flooded, causing disruptions to vehicles.

    To ensure public safety, the District Superintendent of Police issued alerts and enforced roadblocks with barricades and police presence. Residents were urged to avoid unnecessary travel during the challenging weather.
