The Congress party is expected to win in Telangana, preventing a third term for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by K Chandrashekhar Rao. The India Today-Axis My India exit poll suggests that the Congress will win 63-73 seats, while the ruling BRS is likely to get 34-44 seats out of the 119 assemblies where voting took place. The Congress is predicted to receive 42% of the votes, while the BRS is expected to have a 36% vote share. This election has been marked by anti-incumbency, as KCR has been in power for 10 years. Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy expressed confidence in winning more than 80 seats based on the exit poll results.
