Voters in Musheerabad and Amberpet Assembly constituencies were unable to cast their votes because they couldn’t find their polling stations. Many voters reported that their names were not listed at the polling stations where they had previously voted. The mobile app that was supposed to help them locate their polling stations was also not working properly.

In the past, election officials from GHMC would come to people’s homes and give them their voter slips, making it easier for them to find their polling stations. However, this time there were no officials available to help the voters. Some voters mentioned that there were big flexes at the polling stations indicating assistance, but there were no visible officials to guide them.

People without voter ID cards but with valid documents like Aadhaar were also facing difficulties. The police at the entry points were scrutinizing their documents and asking multiple questions. Some voters pointed out that the Election Commission had listed Aadhaar as a valid document for voting, but the police seemed unaware of this.

The confusion and lack of assistance from election officials and the police frustrated many voters. They questioned who had the final say on the validity of documents and the voting process. They blamed the Election Commission for not addressing these issues and allowing people to return without voting.
