Telangana has made significant progress in the last ten years, becoming one of the fastest-growing states in India. It has also achieved the highest per capita income in the country. The state has successfully reduced multidimensional poverty from 13.18% in 2014 to 5.8% in 2023. Additionally, it is the first state in India to provide clean drinking water to every household.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Telangana has invested heavily in irrigation projects, spending Rs 1.70 lakh crore. This has helped the state overcome drought situations and improve agricultural production. In fact, Telangana has surpassed Punjab and Haryana in paddy production, ranking 14th in the country.

The government has also implemented initiatives like RythuBandhu and RythuBima to support farmers, providing them with 24-hour free power supply. Telangana is committed to doubling farmers’ income and has made significant progress in this area. The state government spends Rs 1,000 crore per month on free power supply to farmers.

Telangana is proud to be the first state in India to provide tap connections and potable drinking water to every household. This achievement has been acknowledged by the Union government. The government is also committed to completing the PalamuruRangareddy Lift Irrigation project by 2024, despite challenges from the Union government regarding water disputes with Andhra Pradesh.

The opposition parties have been politicizing the Meddigadda issue, but the government remains focused on addressing engineering issues and ensuring the successful completion of projects. The government is determined to continue its development efforts and fulfill its promises to the people of Telangana.

In terms of power capacity, Telangana has made significant improvements under the BRS government. While the Congress could only achieve a 7,000 MW installed power capacity in 58 years of rule, Telangana has improved it to 18,567 MW. With the upcoming operationalization of Damarcherla, the installed power capacity will increase to 24,000 MW.

Lastly, Chief Minister KCR’s commitment to the reconstruction of the Yadadri temple reflects his devotion to Hinduism rather than political motives. Telangana has emerged as a progressive state within a decade, and the government remains dedicated to its continued development.
