Hyderabad: T Harish Rao, the Finance Minister, stated that the BJP might not win any seats in Telangana after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman admitted that the Centre had blocked Rs 25,000 crore grants for not fixing motors for agriculture pump sets.
During a roadshow in Husnabad, Harish Rao emphasized that he had previously mentioned that Rs 25,000 crore had been blocked for Telangana while serving as the Finance Minister. He pointed out that the amount was not important, but the well-being of 62 lakh farmers was crucial to the BRS.
Harish Rao also highlighted the difference in electricity supply between Telangana and Karnataka. While Karnataka provides only five hours of electricity, Telangana under KCR offers continuous power for 24 hours. Rao alleged that the Congress believes three hours of electricity is sufficient, while the BJP insists on installing meters on the motors. He questioned the people if they prefer the BJP and Congress or the BRS, which prioritizes farmers.
