Two youths died while trying to cross a railway gate without stopping. One of them was hit by a train and his body was cut into two pieces. The other youth got stuck in the train’s engine and was dragged for five kilometers. This tragic incident happened in Mandamarri mandal of Mancherial district.

The incident occurred when electrician Bhukya Suresh (30) and painter Bala Chandu (40) were traveling on a bike from Mancherial to Subhash Nagar. They waited at Kyathanapally railway gate for some time, but since the train was not coming, they decided to go under the gate. Unfortunately, the speeding Kerala Express collided with their bike. Bhukya Suresh’s body was severed into two pieces, while Bala Chandu got stuck under the train’s engine. The train dragged him for five kilometers until it reached Mancherial station.

At the station, the railway police removed Bala Chandu’s body and took it to the hospital for post-mortem. The Congress leaders learned about the accident and staged a protest at the Kyatanapally gate. They blamed the accident on the delay in constructing the Kyatanapally flyover, despite the funds being sanctioned in 2014. BRS MLA Balka Suman demanded a compensation of Rs.1 crore for each of the deceased youths’ families and a government job for each family.
