The National Dam Safety Authority has given Telangana State a one-day deadline to provide complete details about the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). The deadline to submit the information is Sunday, October 28.

The National Dam Safety Authority sent a letter to the Telangana State on Saturday, requesting immediate submission of details about the KLIP. If the information is not provided by October 28, the State government will be considered to have no information about the project.

The Dam Safety Authority accused the Telangana government of deliberately hiding information about the Kaleshwaram project. They have asked for 20 types of information about the construction of Medigadda Barrage, but the State government has only provided information on four subjects. The remaining 16 subjects are still pending, including details about project quality, geological study, and contractor liability.

If the State government fails to provide the necessary information within the given timeframe, the Dam Safety Authority will assume that they have no information about the project. Further action will be taken according to the Act.
