The implementation of providing healthy and nutritious supplements to government school students through ragi java seems to be incomplete in some government schools in Hyderabad. According to the schedule, schools should receive it three times a week. Similarly, the breakfast scheme for government schools lacks clarity on when it will be implemented across all schools.

Government teachers have pointed out that the Education Department claims to supply ragi java to all schools according to the chart, and it should be served three times a week. However, for the past three months, most government schools in the city have not received it, and the quality has been very low. On October 6, the CM breakfast scheme was started in one school in each of the 119 Assembly constituencies. In Hyderabad, this scheme has been implemented in 15 government schools, even though it was supposed to start after the Dasara holidays.

Teachers from Government High School in Kachiguda and Himayat Nagar have expressed their disappointment with the supply of ragi java. They have only received ragi packages four times and have not received any since then, despite assurances from the government. As a result, they are forced to provide it only once a week.

Many schools in the city are not receiving sufficient amounts of ragi java packets, despite the government’s claims of providing healthy supplements. Additionally, the CM breakfast initiative was recently introduced in some government schools in Hyderabad but was canceled at the last minute for all schools on October 26, according to sources.

A member of the Manna Trust (NGO) mentioned that there was a shortage of stocks, which prevented them from providing to schools. However, now that the issue has been resolved, every school will soon receive it on a daily basis.
