Former minister and senior Congress leader Konda Surekha held a protest at the Mills Colony police station in Warangal. She was protesting against the arrest of three CPM leaders. Konda Surekha questioned the police about the reason for arresting Maloth Sagar, M Prathyusha, and G Odelu from the CPM. She stated that BRS leaders threatened hut-dwellers to join their party and even tried to bribe them with ownership titles and other benefits. Konda Surekha believes that it is unfair to arrest anyone without proper cause.

Maloth Sagar, one of the arrested CPM leaders, claimed that Warangal East MLA Nannapuneni Narender has been harassing them. He alleged that the MLA forcefully removed CPM flags and replaced them with BRS flags. Sagar also stated that the police filed false cases against CPM workers at the request of BRS leaders. Additionally, some goons affiliated with BRS attacked the hut-dwellers.
