The central team meeting with the state irrigation department engineers has ended. The meeting was led by CWC Chief Engineer Anil Jain and ENCs Muralidhar, Nagendra Rao, Venkateshwarlu, OSD Sridhar Deshpande, and representatives of L&T also participated. They discussed the technical aspects of the Medigadda barrage.

Telangana ENC Muralidhar clarified that there are no structural defects in the Kaleshwaram project. He explained that the collapse of the center pier was due to a problem in the seventh block, which he believes was a small mistake somewhere. Muralidhar mentioned that they suspect sand as the cause of the problem and that the sand quality and construction have received approvals. He added that a comprehensive inspection of the coffer dam will be conducted in November after the flood subsides.

Officials from the Irrigation Department have stated that the sagging of the pillar in the Medigadda Barrage has not affected the Kaleswaram project. They assure that irrigation water can still be provided as usual.
