The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has taken another big step in space exploration. After the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, ISRO launched Gaganyaan’s TV-D1, a test flight for a single-stage liquid rocket. The launch took place on Saturday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
Initially scheduled for 8 am, the launch was delayed but eventually took place at 10 am. The test flight demonstrated the crew module’s functioning and the mid-flight crew escape system. This is an important milestone in the Gaganyaan human space flight mission.
The Governor of Andhra Pradesh, S. Abdul Nazeer, congratulated the scientists at ISRO for their successful accomplishment of the Test Vehicle D1 mission. He expressed pride in ISRO’s achievement and wished them success in their future missions. The Gaganyaan program aims to send humans into space on a Low Earth Orbit and bring them back safely to Earth.
