K Ravi Raj, the nominee for the Yakutpura constituency in the Assembly elections, sees this as an opportunity to prove himself and challenge the AIMIM and local heavyweights like MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri. As soon as he received the news, Ravi Raj mobilized his party members and colleagues to put up a strong fight.
Ravi Raj, who comes from a BC-D (Meru) background and lives in Lal Darwaza, has been actively involved in both party and religious activities. He has served in various capacities in different temple committees, including as the chairman of Phoolbagh’s Venkateshwara temple from 2007-2009. Currently, he is the Chairman of Das Hanuman temple at Shakargunj and is overseeing its development. One of his priorities as a Congress leader is to resolve any disputes related to temples in the constituency. He also aims to address the civic issues in the area.
Ravi Raj has been an active party worker since 1994 and has been promoting the Congress party’s schemes. He believes that the six-guarantees scheme will lead the party to success. As part of their campaign strategy, they are engaging with all the party leaders in the constituency and will intensify their efforts once the nomination is filed. They plan to reach out to different communities, including the sizeable BC and SC voters, Muslims, and upper castes. Their goal is to secure maximum votes for Congress in the upcoming elections.
