Locals in Bahadurpura constituency are eagerly waiting for promised infrastructure projects as they continue to experience deteriorating civic conditions. Compared to other segments in the Old City, only 40 percent development has taken place in Bahadurpura. Residents are facing critical needs such as water, sewage, stormwater drain system, healthcare, and fencing.

Delays in project completion are a persistent issue, with the Bahadurpura flyover taking four years to finish. The uneven roads in the area are frustrating residents who are demanding attention from leaders and authorities. The stretch of NH 7 from Bahadurpura to Aramghar Zoo Park is in dire condition.

The slums in Bahadurpura are plagued by encroachments, sewage overflow, and piled-up garbage. Outdated infrastructure also leaves the area vulnerable to waterlogging. Despite promises from leaders, no concrete initiatives have been taken to improve the condition of Bahadurpura.

Residents express their frustration and disappointment with the lack of progress. They highlight the absence of water pipeline connections, proper sewage networks, upgraded stormwater drains, and healthcare facilities. The construction of the Bahadurpura-Aramghar flyover is also progressing slowly.

Residents also complain about the state of the roads, which cause damage to vehicles and make driving a nightmare. Pleas to authorities and leaders have fallen on deaf ears. The neglect of Bahadurpura is particularly striking as other areas of the city have seen significant development.

Residents point out that the entire 6-kilometer stretch from Bahadurpura near the zoo park to Aramghar is in a horrible condition, despite being part of NH 7. Basic amenities are lacking in Bahadurpura, and slums in the area continue to suffer from encroachments, sewage overflow, and piled-up garbage.

Low-lying areas are especially vulnerable to heavy waterlogging during the monsoon season. The authorities have not taken steps to modernize pipelines, widen drains, or regularly desilt nalas. Residents have been living with these issues for years, with no significant changes in their localities.
