Finance Minister T Harish Rao stated that the money seized by the Income Tax department in Karnataka was intended for use in Telangana. He explained that there used to be a 40% commission government in Karnataka, but now it has become a 50% commission government. During IT raids on Congress leaders in Karnataka, crores of rupees were found.

Harish Rao accused the Congress of trying to spend this illegally earned money in Telangana during the elections. He alleged that Contractors’ Association President Ambikapati used to take a 40% commission, but now takes a 50% commission, and his wife Ashwathama was a Congress corporator.

Harish Rao suspects that this money was collected from contractors with the intention of transferring it to Telangana under the guise of Telangana tax. He demanded that the Congress leaders answer for this.
