Telangana Minister for Tourism, Srinivas Goud, received relief from the High Court as they dismissed a petition regarding his election. The petition was filed in 2019 by Raghavendra Raju from Mahabubnagar, who claimed that Minister Srinivas Goud’s election was invalid. However, the judge ruled in favor of the Minister and dismissed the petition.
Raghavendra Raju’s petition alleged that Srinivas Goud provided false information about his assets and debts in the 2018 Election Affidavit. According to the petitioner, the Minister initially submitted one Election Affidavit to the Returning Officer and later submitted a revised version, which he deemed illegal. As a result, he demanded the annulment of the election.
The High Court listened to the arguments from both sides and postponed the verdict until today. Finally, today the court issued its decision, dismissing the petition.
Overall, Telangana Minister for Tourism, Srinivas Goud, can now continue his duties without any legal concerns regarding his election.
