Customs officials at the Rajiv International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad have seized 3.73 kg of smuggled gold worth Rs 2.12 crore from six passengers on Thursday. The gold was hidden in different places like jeans, pants, luggage, and even in the form of paste. These passengers were coming from Dubai, Sharjah, and Bahrain. It is believed that they were trying to smuggle the gold into India to avoid paying import duties. The passengers have been taken into custody and further investigations are ongoing.
