Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena conducted an inspection tour in East Delhi to assess cleanliness, sanitation, and civic amenities in the area. He focused on the condition of roads, footpaths, and drainage systems. The tour covered various locations such as Shastri Park, Mansarovar Park, Seelampur, Shyam Lal College, and Surajmal Park. It concluded at the Karkardooma Court Complex.
During the tour, Lieutenant Governor Saxena expressed concern about the poor state of roads, accumulated garbage, congested drains, neglected public parks, encroachments on public spaces, and damaged public properties. He urged officials to start repair and beautification efforts promptly. He also emphasized the importance of providing “before and after” images along with progress reports to monitor the work effectively.
Lieutenant Governor Saxena met with Resident Welfare Associations during the tour. They shared their concerns and grievances, and he assured them that their issues would be addressed and resolved. He committed to revisiting them to ensure proper resolution.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat will monitor the daily progress closely. Lieutenant Governor Saxena called on relevant agencies to resolve any jurisdictional issues that may impede the work.
