Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao praised the support received from the Union government and all political parties for the Women’s Reservation Bill. He expressed his pride as an Indian citizen for the passage of this landmark legislation. Rao also thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his efforts in making this a reality.
In a tweet, Rao emphasized the importance of rising above politics and standing together on issues that benefit the country. He commended the Parliament for considering the Women’s Reservation Bill and extended his compliments to all those involved in its support.
Rao highlighted that Telangana had already implemented 50 percent reservations for women in local governments, zilla parishads, municipalities, corporations, and gram panchayats many years ago. He expressed his delight and pride in the efforts made by the BRS party leadership, as directed by Chief Minister KCR Garu, to bring about this change.
