A woman in Hyderabad achieved her dream of becoming a police officer and was selected for a constable job. However, her happiness was short-lived when her in-laws asked her not to join duty. Tragically, she reportedly committed suicide as a result. This incident took place in Medak district.
The woman, named Kalyani, was the daughter of Martha Rajaiah from Mallareddypalli village in Veenavanka mandal, Karimnagar district. She got married to Karu Harish from Gatlamalayala village in Nangunur mandal, Medak district, four months ago.
Kalyani had completed her MBA and had a strong desire to become a police officer. Recently, she passed the police exams and qualified for the constable job.
However, her husband Harish, aunt Ramana, and brother-in-law Srihari allegedly pressured her not to pursue the police job. Unable to bear their behavior, Kalyani took her own life by hanging herself from a fan at home on Friday night.
Kalyani’s father filed a complaint with the police, stating that the harassment from her in-laws led to her suicide. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
