The President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), A Revanth Reddy, has accused the State government of trying to suppress the voices of students who played a significant role in the Telangana Movement. Reddy expressed his support for the student JAC leaders’ protest against police attacks on them. He stated that Kakatiya University (KU) was at the center of the Telangana Movement and that the suppression of KU students would lead to a revolt against the autocratic rule of Chief Minister KCR. Reddy criticized the police for using excessive force against students who raised valid concerns about irregularities in the university. He also alleged that the university authorities and the police were influenced by ruling party leaders.

In addition, Reddy expressed solidarity with teachers protesting under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and criticized the government for not meeting their justified demands. He promised that if the Congress came to power, it would regularize their jobs. Reddy accused KCR of promoting privatization in the education sector.

Furthermore, Reddy expressed his support for leaders staging a hunger strike demanding categorization of scheduled castes. He then addressed party cadres in the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency, urging them to work diligently to remove both the ruling BRS party at the state level and the BJP at the central level. Reddy claimed that despite appearing as rivals, these parties had a clandestine understanding and had failed to fulfill the needs of the Telangana people.

Reddy criticized the KCR family for being the only beneficiaries in Telangana and accused the BRS government of pushing the state into a debt trap. He stated that KCR had forgotten the core principles of the separate Telangana agitation and had failed to fulfill his election promises. Reddy claimed that people had lost trust in the BRS party.
