Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj has instructed District Electoral Officers (DEOs) to focus on pending voter registration applications and resolve them quickly. He also asked them to analyze polling stations with gender issues and give special attention to elderly voters and the third gender community.
During a video conference with DEOs, Vikas Raj reviewed the progress of the electoral rolls revision process, specifically looking at Form 6, 7, and 8. He urged DEOs to speed up the generation and printing of EPIC cards, identify expenditure sensitive constituencies and pockets, and hold regular meetings of the District Intelligence Committee. He also emphasized the importance of SVEEP activities in urban areas to ensure all eligible citizens are enrolled in the electoral rolls.
Vikas Raj requested DEOs to provide weekly seizure reports and reach out to all PWD pensioners to include them in the electoral roll for assistance during the elections. He also instructed DEOs to revise and update the District Election Management Plan (DEMP) and identify unique polling stations with specific features.
The GHMC Commissioner briefed the DEOs on SVEEP activities in GHMC and Vikas Raj urged them to replicate these initiatives in their respective districts. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Lokesh Kumar, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Sarfraz Ahmad, and others were also present during the conference.
