Hyderabad: TPCC President A Revanth Reddy claimed that IT Minister K T Rama Rao threatened the management of a hotel hosting the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. Revanth visited the venue of the ‘Vijaya Bheri’ public meeting to be addressed by Sonia Gandhi on September 17 near Tukkuguda. He accused KTR of harassing the hotel management and questioning their decision to host the Congress event.
Revanth criticized KTR’s behavior, stating that if Congress had acted in a similar manner when they were in power, the BRS government would not exist today. He mentioned how the ruling government had tried to disrupt Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Khammam by cutting off drinking water and causing issues with transportation. Despite these challenges, the public meeting was successful and attracted a large crowd.
Revanth expressed gratitude to the local farmers in Tukkuguda who offered space for the public meeting after facing difficulties in obtaining permission from the government and other departments. The farmers stepped forward with nearly 100 acres of land when the Endowments department was hesitant to provide 50 acres.
Overall, Revanth highlighted the alleged harassment faced by the hotel management and the challenges faced by the Congress party in organizing public meetings.
