Congress leader and leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, has not been invited to the G20 gala dinner hosted by the President on Saturday. Despite holding a cabinet minister rank and being the president of the largest opposition party, Kharge’s office confirmed that he did not receive an invitation.
The dinner has extended invitations to all cabinet and state ministers, chief ministers, secretaries to the Government of India, and other distinguished guests. Rahul Gandhi, who is currently in Brussels, commented that this exclusion reflects the underlying motives behind the decision.
In a separate development, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of working against the Constitution of India. Stalin expressed concerns about the threats to secularism, unity, and social justice in the country.
