    The Hyderabad city police held a meeting with the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi to ensure a smooth Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The meeting took place at an auditorium in TSPICCC. The festival will be celebrated from September 18 to September 28, with the final immersion of idols on the last day. The meeting was attended by police commissioners, GHMC commissioner, and representatives from various departments such as electricity, RTC, water works, and more.

    During the meeting, the Bhagyanagar Utsav Samithi raised concerns about potholes, illumination at specific places, and arrangements for vehicles, tuskers, water, and food for the immersion day. The authorities assured to address these issues and provide necessary resources. The members praised the services of the police and other departments.

    Commissioner C V Anand emphasized the importance of coordination and information exchange among the police commissioners. He urged the community representatives to comply with court orders regarding idol immersions. The meeting discussed various aspects of the festival celebration, procession routes, and other arrangements. Attendees were requested to fill out intimation forms to ensure proper arrangements and security.

    GHMC commissioner Ronald Rose informed about road repair works, illumination, tree pruning, and other measures being taken by the civic body. Coordination booklets with contact numbers of department officers will be shared with stakeholders. Commissioners from Rachakonda and Cyberabad also addressed the gathering and urged cooperation with the police.

    The electricity department briefed on providing transformers and shock-proof arrangements at crowded areas. The transport department assured to provide tuskers and heavy vehicles for the festival. They mentioned that vehicles will be pooled at multiple points across the city with staff from transport offices.

    Overall, the meeting aimed to ensure a successful and well-coordinated Ganesh Chaturthi festival, with all necessary measures in place for the safety and convenience of devotees.
