Congress cadres, led by Hanumakonda DCC president Naini Rajender Reddy, took part in the Sankalp Yatra in Hanumakonda on Thursday. They were inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which created a lasting impact on the people. The yatra highlighted important issues such as economic inequalities, price rise, unemployment, social injustices, and subversion of the Constitution.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of Rahul Gandhi’s 4,000 km Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leaders organized the Sankalp Yatra in Hanumakonda. During the event, Reddy emphasized that the Congress has always prioritized the welfare of the people. On the other hand, he criticized the BRS MLAs for only extending welfare schemes like Dalit Bandhu and Gruha Laxmi to their own cadres.

Reddy pointed out that the promises made by the BRS regarding double bedroom houses for the poor have not been fulfilled. Additionally, he highlighted that SC, ST, and BC communities were not receiving subsidized loans. The MLA also showed disinterest in distributing the already constructed double bedroom houses.

Reddy questioned the BRS leaders’ claims of development in Warangal by pointing out that colonies become waterlogged during rains in the region. He criticized the BRS leaders for attacking opposition leaders and filing false cases against them whenever they highlight the lack of development. Reddy stressed the importance of allowing the opposition’s voice to be heard and accused the BRS leaders of being undemocratic.
