The Congress party in Telangana is determined to come to power and plans to use the upcoming Congress Working Committee meeting and rally to showcase their commitment to the state. The meeting will be held on September 16, followed by a rally on September 17, which is also the “Telangana National Integration Day”.

During the rally, former AICC president Sonia Gandhi will announce the “Five Guarantee Schemes”, similar to what the party did in Karnataka before elections. These schemes will provide guarantees for women, youth, poorer sections, farmers, and SC/ST communities. The AICC is currently finalizing these schemes in consultation with the TPCC, and they are expected to cost Rs 50,000 crore annually.

The Telangana Congress aims to reassure voters that these guarantees are not empty promises. This will be the main agenda for the party in the upcoming elections. Additionally, on the Telangana National Integration Day, the Congress will highlight how they played a role in liberating Hyderabad state from Nizam’s rule and will honor families of leaders who fought for the liberation of Telangana.

The TPCC is making efforts to ensure the success of the CWC meeting, which will include all Pradesh Congress Committee chiefs. It is worth mentioning that the Bharatiya Janata Party also held a national executive meeting last year, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
