Heavy rains in Medchal have caused many apartments to be submerged in water. The flood water has even reached the first floor, leaving the apartment dwellers worried and unable to leave. In Maisammaguda, around 30 apartments have been flooded.

The affected apartments are mostly occupied by engineering students who attend nearby colleges. They called for help from the police, revenue, and officials, who have brought in two JCBs to remove the flood water and rescue the trapped students.
