The differences within the political coalition known as I.N.D.I.A have surfaced again, specifically concerning the design of their logo. As a result, the unveiling of the joint logo for the National Opposition bloc has been postponed. While the organizers have confirmed this delay, it is known that many of the 28 opposition parties were not satisfied with the proposed designs.
Sources within the Maha Vikas Aghadi have stated that there was a lack of agreement among the members regarding various aspects of the logo design, such as color combination and size. These concerns will now be taken into consideration by all parties involved.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and Congress’ Leader of Opposition Vijay Waddettiwar, who addressed reporters, mentioned that certain suggestions from leaders of the 28 Opposition parties need to be considered before finalizing the logo. This process may take an additional day or so. It is important to resolve this issue promptly as the NDA government has indicated its intention to pursue the concept of one nation, one election. To explore this possibility, a committee led by former President Ramnath Kovind has been appointed. The I.N.D.I.A members feel the need to be prepared in case the NDA succeeds in pushing this bill during the upcoming 5-day parliamentary session starting on September 18.
Once all parties have approved and cleared the logo, it is expected to be displayed alongside the names and election symbols of the various political parties during the Lok Sabha campaign. This will help voters identify the joint official candidate of the combined Opposition parties for each constituency.
