Karimnagar: Malyala Sujith Kumar, the District Congress vice president, accused the Modi government of planning to deceive the public once again by reducing the price of LPG cylinders by only Rs 200 as the elections approach in five states. He mentioned that when Narendra Modi first became Prime Minister, a cooking gas cylinder was available to the common man for Rs 300. He also pointed out that despite high crude oil prices worldwide, the Congress government at the Centre ensured that people were not burdened by paying the subsidy.

Sujith Kumar criticized the BJP government for increasing the prices of cooking gas despite a significant decrease in crude oil prices in recent years. He expressed disappointment that the people have been deprived of the benefits of the subsidy. He highlighted that during the Corona lockdown, when people lost their jobs and income, the prices of cooking gas cylinders kept increasing mercilessly, resulting in the government taking away lakhs of crores of public money.
