The Deputy Director General of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate, Air Commodore VM Reddy, emphasized the importance of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in personal development and nation-building. He visited the ongoing Inter Group Competition Vayu Sainik Camp and spoke with cadets, staff, officers, and commanding officers of all 7 Air Squadrons in the region.
Air Commodore Reddy mentioned that NCC quota seats are available for various degree courses in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He advised the cadets to be cautious of the negative effects of social media and encouraged them to develop a habit of reading and engaging in physical activities daily. He also discussed different career options available to the cadets.
The Inter Group Competition Vayu Sainik Camp, organized by the National Cadet Corps, aims to promote unity, discipline, leadership, and national integration among the youth. The camp took place at Bison Training Ground from August 18 to 27, focusing on patriotism, character-building, and aviation knowledge.
During the camp, prizes were awarded to the best air contingent, best squadron in flying, best technical squadron, runners-up best air contingent, and best squadrons in aero modeling, firing, drill, tent pitching, and health and hygiene. Air Commodore VM Reddy praised the entire team for successfully conducting the camp.
