Good news for the people of Khammam! The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is planning to build a two-story, air-conditioned conference hall in the city. This conference hall will have all the necessary facilities and a seating capacity for 2,000 people. It will be the third facility of its kind in Telangana, with the other two located in Hyderabad and Nirmal.
The proposed conference hall will be constructed on a 1.7-acre land at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore. The Transport Minister, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, has mentioned that there will be ample parking space provided and the facility will have easy access from three sides. The surroundings will also be beautifully landscaped.
The construction work is expected to start in September. The conference hall will be designed to match the best function halls in the state capital in terms of architecture, decor, and services. It will be a great addition to the development initiatives of Khammam city and will cater to the needs of the local residents.
The conference center will have three floors. The ground and first levels will house shopping blocks covering a total area of 2860 square yards and 2335 square yards, respectively. The second floor will have a commercial area spanning 2860 square yards. The conference hall itself will have a bottom floor measuring 34,270 square yards, a first floor measuring 5630 square yards, and a second floor measuring 3825 square yards. Additionally, there will be a parking area in the cellar covering an area of 55,160 square yards.
