BJP leader Eleti Maheshwar Reddy’s hunger strike to cancel the Nirmal Master Plan has reached its 6th day. Due to his worsening health condition, there was a scuffle between party activists and the police, who forcefully took him to the hospital at around 2 am on Sunday night. Maheshwar Reddy is now receiving treatment at the government hospital.
BJP State President G Kishan Reddy strongly condemned the police for forcefully breaking Maheshwar Reddy’s hunger strike. He visited the government hospital in Nirmal district on Monday to express his condolences and later visited the injured activists and farmers who were involved in the scuffle.
