Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has expressed his objections to a new bill proposed by the Modi government. He and his Aam Aadmi Party leaders believe that the Central Government went against the Supreme Court’s judgment by introducing the Delhi Services Bill in Parliament. Despite their opposition, the bill has been passed by both Houses of Parliament.

In response, CM Kejriwal has now opposed another bill introduced by the Modi government and has directly tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has also released a media story and a document to support his objections.

Through Twitter, Kejriwal stated that the Prime Minister does not respect the Supreme Court’s rulings. He believes that whenever he disagrees with a court decision, he will introduce legislation in Parliament to overturn it. This blatant disregard for the Supreme Court’s order is extremely dangerous and undermines Indian democracy.

According to a media report shared by Kejriwal, the Supreme Court had previously stated that the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioner would be appointed based on the recommendation of a committee consisting of the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and the Chief Justice. However, CM Kejriwal claims that the Modi government has modified this judgment and established a committee that includes the Secretary to the Government of India. The committee will consist of five individuals who will select the chief election commissioner and election commissioners, after which the President’s approval will be obtained. This modification raises concerns about the fairness of elections.
