Tenders for the construction of 14 bridges and expressways over the Musi river will be floated soon, according to Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao. He made this announcement during the 64th City Convergence Meeting at GHMC Office in Hyderabad. The meeting covered various topics such as dump yard sites, action against private yards, beautification of Musi river and its surroundings, parking lots, and garbage collection.
KTR explained that the plan is to redirect water from Kondapochamma Sagar to Osmansagar into the Musi river. The construction of the 14 bridges and expressways will support this project. KTR also requested officials to find suitable dump yard sites in Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts, taking into consideration the needs of Hyderabad for the next 50 years.

KTR asked officials to submit reports on dump yards at Pyarangar, Khanapur, and Dundigal within a week. Additionally, he instructed officials to prepare plans for multi-level parking by identifying vacant government and private lands in GHMC limits. The minister also highlighted the need to promote non-motorized transport and construct skywalks where necessary.
