    The funeral procession of Gaddar, a revolutionary ‘Balladeer’, has started from L B Stadium in Hyderabad. The procession will pass through Gunpark and Ambedkar Statue, then continue via Tank Bund before reaching Alwal. Gaddar’s body will be cremated at Mahaboodhi Vidyalaya in Bhoodevinagar, which is run by his family. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be present for the final rites.

    The State government has decided to give Gaddar full State honors for his last rites. Various government departments, including the police and GHMC, are making arrangements for the procession. Gaddar passed away at the age of 74 while undergoing treatment in a Corporate hospital on Sunday.

    Earlier in the day, thousands of fans, political leaders, artists, and celebrities paid their respects to Gaddar at L B Stadium. Prominent figures such as MA & UD Minister K T Rama Rao and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy were among those who paid their respects. Activists and artists from across Telangana also came to L B Stadium to say goodbye to their idol.

    During the procession, artists representing different folk forms will pay homage at Gunpark. This is a gesture of gratitude and respect for Gaddar’s contribution to the Telangana movement. The procession, which includes a specially made vehicle with flags representing different ideologies, is slowly making its way to Alwal. Along the way, it will stop at the Ambedkar Statue and other landmarks.

    However, the State government has faced criticism from the Anti-Terrorism Forum (ATF) for its decision to give Gaddar State honors. The ATF secretary, Ravinuthala Shashidhar, expressed concern that this decision may upset the families of martyred policemen. He suggested that the Police Officers Association should also request the withdrawal of this decision as it could affect the morale of the police force.
