Customs Air Intelligence officers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad seized gold worth Rs 82.42 lakh from two different passengers. The first incident occurred on Monday midnight when a passenger arriving from Doha was found with 701 grams of gold worth Rs 42.96 lakh concealed in capsules inside his rectum. In the second incident, a passenger arriving from Bangkok on Tuesday morning was found with 700 grams of gold worth Rs 39.46 lakh and a silver-coated bangle hidden in his rectum. Separate cases were filed, and an investigation is ongoing.
