Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has faced allegations of rejecting bills passed by the State Assembly. However, she clarified that she had actually sent back three bills and requested further clarification. The Governor stated that she cannot be held responsible for the delay in approving the bills as it was the government’s lack of response to her queries that caused the delay.
The Governor emphasized that she is not against anyone and is not playing politics. She is waiting to see the government’s reaction to her requests for clarification. In regards to the recent floods, Tamilisai expressed her concern for the suffering people in the affected areas. She mentioned that she has been providing assistance through NGOs and plans to visit the affected areas soon.
Tamilisai criticized the government for not taking proactive measures to minimize flood-related damages. She urged the people’s representatives to step up and provide relief to those affected. The Governor mentioned that opposition parties have submitted memoranda requesting her intervention in extending relief efforts. She has also requested a report on the floods from the government.
