The heavy rainfall in Hyderabad has been causing problems for daily wage laborers and vendors. Due to the rain, there is a lack of demand for their services and sales have been affected. Many laborers are struggling to find work and others are gathering in the hope of securing employment, but their efforts have been unsuccessful. Construction work has also been halted due to the bad weather. There are around 500,000 daily wage laborers in the city.

One laborer named Mallesh said that the rain has made it difficult for them to find work and earn their regular income. If the rain continues, they will face difficulties in meeting their essential expenses. The laborers are calling on the government to provide support in the form of financial aid or employment opportunities.

Venkat Mohan, State President of the Telangana Street Vendors and Hawkers Union, emphasized the need for government support during extreme weather conditions. Daily wage laborers and vendors are particularly vulnerable and face hardships as a result. The government should take proactive measures to provide relief and support to these individuals. This can include implementing social welfare programs, providing healthcare access, and creating employment opportunities even in adverse weather conditions. By working together, we can create a more resilient and inclusive society for everyone.
