    Since Wednesday evening, it has been raining continuously in Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has warned that heavy to very heavy rains will continue on Thursday. There may be very fast showers at times. The maximum and minimum temperatures on Thursday will range from 25 degrees to 21 degrees. Surface winds are expected to blow at a speed of 10 to 14 kilometers per hour.

    The IMD has issued a warning that the heavy rains may cause flooding in Hyderabad’s roads and low-lying areas. Traffic problems are also expected, and there may be disruptions in electricity and water supplies. Drainage problems may arise in various locations.

    Light to moderate rains have been occurring in Hyderabad since Tuesday morning, and they may turn into heavy rains on Tuesday evening in some parts of the city. A weather report suggests that Siddipet, Jangaon, and Yadadri may experience intense rains moving towards Hyderabad. Moderate to heavy rains are also predicted in the coming hours. People should plan accordingly when leaving offices, schools, or colleges.

    During the heavy rains in Hyderabad, there have been incidents of lightning striking the roads. One such incident occurred in Attahpur, and a video of it has gone viral on social media. The public is advised to stay indoors and only go out for emergencies.

    Heavy rains have also affected many districts of Telangana on Monday. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the state, predicting heavy to very heavy rains in the next three days. Thunder, lightning, and gusty winds are likely to occur. The department has also announced that winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

    A cyclone has formed in the Bay of Bengal near South Odisha and is rising above the mean sea level. A low-pressure area is expected to form over the North West Bay of Bengal near South Odisha – North Andhra on July 24.

    People in Telangana are advised to take precautions and stay safe during the rains.
