    Thunderstorms are expected to occur in Hyderabad, Medchal, and Ranga Reddy districts of GHMC within the next 24 hours. The GHMC has advised citizens to avoid seeking shelter under isolated trees and unsafe structures.     The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) officials have opened four gates at Himayath Sagar to release excess water into the downstream of river Musi. Currently, the total inflow at Himayath Sagar is 2,500 cusecs, while the outflow is nearly 2,750 cusecs. The reservoir has a total of 17 gates, with four of them being opened. The water level at Himayath Sagar is currently 1,761.75 feet, slightly below its Full Tank Level (FTL) of 1,763.50 feet. The reservoir’s total capacity is 2.970 TMC (thousand million cubic feet), and as of Tuesday, it is at full capacity, according to Water Board officials. The Osman Sagar (Gandipet) reservoir is also receiving good inflows.

    Due to the current weather conditions, many private schools have decided to conduct online classes for the next two days, while some have opted for hybrid mode. In addition, the Cyberabad police have issued an advisory notice to IT and ITES companies in Madhapur and Gachibowli to implement phase-wise logouts to prevent traffic congestion in the IT corridors, considering the forecast of heavy rains for the next two days.
