    Heavy rains in Hyderabad and the upper reaches of Musi River have caused the flood level in the Musi project to rise. This has led to the lifting of 6 gates of the project and the release of water on Saturday. Currently, 5849 cusecs of water is flowing into the project, while 7432 cusecs is being released through the gates and 327 cusecs is being released through the right and left channels. Officials have warned people in downstream areas to be cautious due to the opening of the project gates.
