    Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has made a generous decision to improve the welfare of poor students studying in hostels affiliated with various departments, including all types of Gurukulams in the state. He signed a file today, Saturday, to increase the diet charges for Gurukulam students in order to provide them with quality food and better facilities. The new charges will be effective from July of this year.

    Here are the details of the increased diet charges:

    – Students studying from 3rd to 7th standard will now pay Rs 1200 per month, up from Rs 950.

    – Students studying from 8th to 10th standard will now pay Rs 1400 per month, up from Rs 1100.

    – Students studying from class 11 to PG will now pay Rs 1875 per month, up from Rs 1500.

    It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister KCR formed a Sub-Committee of ministers to recommend the increase in student diet charges. The Sub-Committee recently submitted its report, based on which the state government made these changes.
