Hyderabad: Minister for Excise and Prohibition, V Srinivas Goud, has instructed officials to take action against those involved in the illegal transportation of liquor from other states. He wants PD Act cases to be registered against these individuals. In a review meeting held at the secretariat, the Minister also urged officials to conduct thorough inspections to prevent liquor from entering the state through airports, railways, buses, and other means of transport.
To raise awareness about the issue, officials have been asked to organize programs for transportation operators and owners of function halls, event organizers, convention centers, banquet halls, and hotels in Telangana. The Minister emphasized the importance of conveying the message about the illegal supply of liquor to these stakeholders.
