    The Congress High command has made an important decision to intensify party activities for the upcoming Assembly elections. They have formed a 29-member state election committee, with A Revanth Reddy, the state party president, as the chairperson.

    The elections in Telangana are scheduled to take place later this year. The Congress president has approved the formation of the Pradesh Election Committee for the upcoming assembly elections. Reddy, who is also a party MP and state unit chief, will lead the committee.

    Other members of the committee include party MPs N Uttar Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, as well as party leaders Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Thatiparthi Jeevan Reddy, Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud, Jagga Reddy, J Geetha Reddy, Mohammed Azharuddin, M Anjan Kumar Yadav, Kunduru Jana Reddy, V Hanumantha Rao, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, C Damodar Raja Narasimha, Y Madhu Yaskhi Goud, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy, S A Sampath Kumar, and former MP Renuka Chowdhury.

    The state presidents of the party’s youth and student wings, along with the chief organizer of the State Seva Dal, are also members of the committee. The Congress aims to come to power in Telangana by defeating the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi), which has been in power since 2014 when Telangana was separated from Andhra Pradesh.
