Former State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar has claimed that the Nizam of Hyderabad was portrayed as a benevolent ruler to hide the cruel realities of his regime. Kumar released the poster of a film on Razarkar atrocities and stated that people aged 18-40, who make up 70% of the country’s population, are unaware of the dark past of Nizam’s rule. He criticized those who have depicted Nizam’s rule in a positive light by showcasing landmarks like Osmania and Charminar. Kumar stated that Nizam’s regime was actually monstrous and brutal, where women were subjected to forced removal of nose rings, rape, and stripping. He congratulated the filmmakers for bringing these facts to light and expressed his support for the film’s promotion through social media.

Kumar also highlighted the role of former Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar in the liberation of Telangana. He emphasized the importance of celebrating Telangana Liberation Day on September 17. Kumar accused certain groups of distorting the Telangana movement’s history and spreading a twisted narrative to establish themselves as the sole torchbearers. He saw the Razakar film as an opportunity to present the real history and urged people to watch it and promote it widely through social media.
