Delhi LG VK Saxena and CM Arvind Kejriwal reviewed the site at Vikas Bhawan, ITO, where a drain regulator has been damaged. Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj informed the LG that he requested the NDRF last night, but they arrived today. LG Saxena emphasized the need for teamwork instead of blame and commented on the progress being made to stop the flow of Yamuna.

CM Arvind Kejriwal explained that the water regulator at Indraprastha was damaged due to the high flow of the Yamuna river. The restoration may take three to four hours. Water entered the city as a result of the damage, causing flooding in areas surrounding ITO and Rajghat. The engineers and staff worked throughout the night to repair the regulator, and now the water level has started to recede.

Regarding the water delivery outage, Kejriwal mentioned that Yamuna water entered the pump room and machinery, preventing them from running until the water level is lowered. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated that the current flood is a natural calamity and politics should not be involved. He explained that Haryana was the first to be affected by the release of water, and it is impossible to halt any water that exceeds the capacity of the barrage.

Congress leader Pawan Kheda criticized Kejriwal for failing to clean the drains and for requesting no water release from HathniKund. He emphasized that releasing water was necessary to prevent further damage. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi targeted the Aam Aadmi Party, stating that they are not taking responsibility and instead blame others during tragedies.
